About UsHello. My name is Stacey. I started Essesea - pronounced S E C (my initials) in 2006. The inspiration behind Essesea comes from that of being passionate about creating things that are a little bit different. Things that aren't mass produced. Things you can't get on the high street. There's nothing better than giving or receiving something that has been handmade, knowing that it has been made with a little time and a little love. 'Handcrafted from the heart'. I love anything shiny and sparkly and wanted to combine this with skills I had acquired from working as a graphic artist for ten years, to create little keepsakes and gifts that everyone can enjoy. The print designs we use on our personalised items and gift packs have all been designed and drawn by myself and we hand make each of the packs for our wine glass charms, so you won't find them anywhere else! Essesea began as more of a hobby than a business. After unprecedented success on various online auction sites, my fiancй, Peter (who luckily happened to be an IT consultant) set up a website which gave me far more scope to extend my range further and offer a more flexible, personal service. As popularity for my handmade items increased, my part-time hobby rapidly became a full-time business. The amount of positive feedback and encouragement I received was fantastic. Peter's occasional help quickly turned into a full-time job for him also, at which point he officially became my business partner. The majority of our items are hand made to order to your requirements. We stock a range of beautiful components and cardstock from which your order will be made. We hope you appreciate that our handmade items are created with love, care, and attention-to-detail. We don't 'mass produce' and so we can make sure that every item we send out is of the highest quality. Gradually we've been extending our range to include not only finished handmade gifts and accessories, but also a few other items to complement them such as table scatter crystals and craft findings. As well as this we're also making card based components for you to make your own hand made creations too. With increasing popularity to experiment with making home made greetings cards, wedding invitations, table plans etc. we're extending our range of die cut card shapes to include more borders, frames and more layering shapes for you to be creative with. Again, we personally die cut these all by hand from premium quality card manufactured just a few miles from us here in Northwest UK. 2011 is an exciting year for us as we become a limited company, although this isn't going to change anything we do. We're not a large organisation - just a small business with a big personality, and that's the way we like it. |
